What risk-free bets are and how to use them with matched betting.
A risk-free bet returns your stake (as cash or as a free bet) if your bet loses. You place a normal back bet on the specified market and use an exchange lay bet to control the cost if the bet refund does not trigger. If it does trigger, you receive a refund and then convert it to profit (if refunded as a free bet).

• Refund type: cash vs free bet (SNR).
• Max refund: e.g., up to £10/£20/£25.
• Minimum odds and eligible markets.
• When the refund is credited and how long it lasts.
• Cash-out restrictions and one-per-customer/household rules.
1) Read the offer terms (refund type, cap, minimum odds, eligible markets).
2) In the Bonus Calculator, input the details including bonus amount and expected retention (typically 70-80%). Also select 'Bonus applied if bet Loses' and 'Free Bet OFF'.
3) Note the calculator’s instruction (e.g., “Lay £… at … Lay Odds”) and place the BACK bet at the bookmaker.
4) Immediately place the LAY bet on the exchange using the stake shown. Confirm full matching.
5) If the bet loses, you receive the refund (cash or SNR free bet). If it wins, you keep the equalised profit shown.
